Cedric Hal, a sophomore at Paul Quinn College has created a foundation entitled, Peace and Positivity. The goal of his foundation is to provide resources to under privileged families that need help. So far he has had a great turnout for the foundation.
Cedric thought of the idea ten cents for peace after attending an orientation during the summer. The video he watched at the presentation was about morals and values. After watching the video he asked himself, "Self how can I help my community?"
It was then that Cedric came up with the brilliant idea of donating ten cents for peace.
Every Friday when the college hosts its chapel, attendees are given the opportunity to donate ten cents or more to the cause.
This Friday he will be premiering the disbursement of donations to one family that needs the most help. Quinnites and other people that have contributed to the Peace and Positivity Foundation are extremely excited about this Friday November 19. "I think it's a great thing what Paul Quinn is doing to help its surrounding community," said Paul Quinn Freshman Jeremy Hunt.
